To reduce administrative costs MLSOK will no longer be billing for your lockbox key/lockbox service. You will now pay Supra direct for your key service effective October 1st. PLEASE NOTE that you will still turn in your boxes to MLSOK and MLSOK will still offer support for your key but effective October you will pay Supra direct for your service and all billing issues and lost key or boxes will he handled by Supra. You will receive an invoice for your annual service from Supra within the next 4 weeks. You will also receive new key-holder agreements which must be returned to MLSOK. Supra will do monthly billing for e-key and e-pro holders; active key key-holders will need to pay for the year (12 months of service- $300) by October 1st. Save money by converting NOW! There will be no transfer fee to put our key on your smartphone during the transition and using your phone entitles you to monthly billing.

NEW OPTION FOR MAC AND IPAD USERS!

MLS is not quite there yet, but there is a new method MLSOK has arranged to access MLS Data that is fully MAC and specifically iPad compatible. Go to www.centraloklahomaproperties.com on the bottom right of the page click Members Only. Enter your MLS ID and password, click Login and on the next screen on the top is a link to the Data Coop. This is not access to the actual MLS, but is all the data for MLSOK and Tulsa that can be queried and viewed with most browsers and is specifically iPad compatible as well. This does not give access to Add/Edit or any other MLS specific tools, but is another way to view data on other browsers until MLS conversion to MAC is complete.

Congratulations to OAR for their phenomenal work in getting this legislation passed for all of us in the state. It was wonderful to witness the OAR and OKCMAR's Legislative, Green Resource Council and Gennext committees working together to improve the professionalism, technology and green practices in our state. This passage serves as proof of the value of our state dues and what can be accomplished with the power we share together in making a difference. Now that we accomplished our goal, members are excited about the new technologies that are available to them. The MLSOK R&D committee is meeting next Friday to see demos from the various e-signature vendors and to develop a distribution and training plan. You can purchase e-signature packages now from Transaction Desk with a link from our Transaction Desk system in the MLS. The committee will be asked to work on mapping fields so that Transaction Desk forms autopopulate to the maximum efficiency. Ala Mode, one of our affiliate partners, is an easy to use e-signature product that can be utilized with Transaction Desk. We also encourage you to review the NAR product Docusign, as you recall Docusign assisted MLSOK through sponsorship of our conference and through presentations to our membership and key government officials. MLSOK has no official endorsement of a specific product and encourages the member to review all three and make the best choice for their business.

This class will be a bring your brown bag 'Lunch and Learn' one hour class and will focus on streamlining the things you do on a daily basis. The first class is on the MLS add/edit functions and will cover best practices for auto-populate, field definitions and help descriptions to make entry easier.

The first meeting is scheduled Wednesday, January 12th 2011 at 12:00 - 1:00 pm. There is no charge for these classes but please register here so materials and accommodations can be made ready and available for the hour scheduled.

Classes will be held at the OKCMAR offices at 3131 NW Expressway, OKC 73112. They will be held in the R-Store or a classroom upstairs dependent on the response and need.

Continued reports of seller pharmaceutical theft- please protect yourself as well as the seller

We continue to receive reports of seller pharmaceutical theft during open houses and showings. Unfortunately the desire for the medication may put you in physical danger if any way you block an attempted theft. The seller may be put in danger of not having the medication he/she needs in a timely manner.

Please make sure you follow the recognized safety tip of asking your sellers to go through their medicine cabinets and cupboards and remove all medication or lock up the medication during open houses and scheduled showings. A nice way to show you care and the value of your service is to purchase a small keyed lockbox for your listing clients. They run about $10-15 dollars at the discount stores and advice the client to put the locked lockbox in a closet or other location away from bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms such as a hall or linen closet.
