Anti-SPAM Advisory - Update
A recent change to Yahoo’s email DMARC policy over the weekend
has resulted in numerous emails to be rejected – estimated 15%. Yahoo’s
policy change is affecting many email service providers around the world – and
is not limited to CoreLogic.
The policy change rejects mail that purports to originate from Yahoo’s
domain but originates from an IP address belonging to someone else – such as
CoreLogic. Now emails sent from MLXchange, Tempo and Fusion come from
CoreLogic’s mail servers, but uses members personal email address (e.g.: jsmith@yahoo.com) as the “From”
email address are likely to be rejected.
CoreLogic has contacted Yahoo to see if CoreLogic email servers
can be ‘whitelisted’ to by-pass this policy. The alternate solution would
be for CoreLogic to replace the “From” email address with a generic email
address coming from a domain owned by CoreLogic such as EmailNotification@Interealty.net.
This modification would satisfy Yahoo’s new policy and allow email messages to
be delivered. CoreLogic realizes this solution would be a significant
change and not optimal for end users, however CoreLogic realizes companies such
as Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail are more likely to tighten email their policies to
reduce billions of SPAM emails.
We will continue to investigate solutions and provide updates as
soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Your MLSOK Team
